Scenes of Wonder - the way Nigel sees the world

Growing up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Nigel enjoyed studying art at ‘O’ and ‘A’ level, but although he doesn’t get time to sketch or paint these days he uses his camera lens as canvas for his keen artistic eye.

While he was a Civil Servant, he enjoyed success many times in the Department of Agriculture's annual photographic competition, which encouraged him to take photography more seriously.

In 2004 he launched ‘Scenes of Wonder’ and by selling prints at craft fairs and exhibiting his work at coffee shops and galleries he has tried to bring to others something of the ‘sense of wonder’ he has found and captured within nature.

Now as a full time musician based in Sussex, England, he and his wife Julie travel extensively and never without his camera!

He longs that through the images he captures, others would be inspired to stop amidst the busyness of life and explore the surrounding beauty and wonder of Creation, experience the tranquillity that being close to nature can bring and ultimately deepen their appreciation and worship of an amazing ‘Creator God’.
